Hi Brenda, At 6.8 I will suggest you to keep the dosage of Gymnema at least 1000 mg per day and your diet should be low carbohydrate with mostly complex carbs, moderate protein and low fat and also there should be 45 min of physical activity if all these you are doing then no need for metformin we can review again after 3 months.
