Home Remedies For Excessive Armpit Sweating

Home remedies to get rid of excessive armpit sweat

Coconut Oil

Take some amount of coconut oil and rub it, after the bath, in the areas of excessive armpit sweating. In addition to this, you can also mix some amount of baking powder and coconut oil and apply it over your armpits.

Or else, mix 10-20 grams of camphor in 100 ml of coconut oil and apply over the affected area.

Tomato

Take fresh tomatoes and make juice, drink 1 glass daily to get rid of excessive armpit sweating. Alternatively, eat 2-3 tomatoes regularly. It is also helpful for curing excessive armpit sweating resulted about because of the presence of antioxidants.

Or else, you can apply tomato juice directly to the areas that have constant sweating. Leave it for 10-15 minutes and then wash it off with cold water.

Potato

Cut a slice of potato and rub it over the armpit area. It absorbs the extra sweat. You can also apply potato juice. Allow the juice to dry before wearing clothes. Repeat this 3-4 times daily.

Grapes

Grapes balance the temperature of the human body and thus reduce perspiration. So, eat a handful of grapes every day. Alternatively, you can drink the fresh grapes juice.

Salt

Mix some salt and lemon juice together and massage this over your hands. Leave it for some time and then wash off with cold water. This process will decrease the total activity of sweat glands and cure the problem of extreme armpit sweating.

Alternatively, try rubbing solid salt crystals over the areas that sweat profusely. It will act as an antiperspirant and will slow down the action of sweat organs.

Baking Soda

Mix a tablespoon of baking soda in a cup of water and drink this daily at night. Alternatively, baking soda can also be rubbed on the areas that sweat more. Along with removing sweat, this will cure bad odor from the body.

Or else, make a paste of cornstarch and baking soda, and apply it on your underarms. Wash it off after half an hour. You may also add a few drops of essential oil to this mixture for a nice fragrance.

Lemon

Like salt, lemon is also works as an antiperspirant. Rub a lemon wedge on your armpits and let it dry. Then wash it off with water. Besides reducing sweat, it will also leave you fresh all day long.

Alternatively, you can also mix all of them in equal quantities of lemon juice and also baking powder. Apply it on the areas with excessive sweating. Wash it off after 20 minutes.

Note – you should not walk out in the sun after application of lemon as it may cause skin darkening.

Homemade Deodorant

Take 1 tablespoon of baking powder and mix some water to make a smooth paste. Add 1-3 drops of lavender/vanilla/lemon essential oil. Mix well. Apply this paste on your armpits. Wash it off after 15-20 minutes. Repeat this as often as required.

Alternatively, mix 3 tablespoons of coconut oil, 2 tablespoons of Shea butter, and 3 tablespoons of baking powder and 3-4 drops of any essential oil. You can even mix 2 tablespoons of arrowroot powder to this mixture. It will solidify on cooling. Apply it on your armpits after a bath.

Note – Make use of double boiler to melt coconut oil and Shea butter.

Talcum Powder

Apply generous amount of talcum powder on the highly perspiring areas. It also helps to absorb an additional armpit sweat and it gives you a feeling of freshness with a light scent.

Turnip

Drink 1 glass of turnip juice every day. Or else, apply the turnip juice to the armpit area and leave it for 15-20 minutes. Then wash off with cold water.
