How Whey Protein Helps In Weight Gain and Weight Loss?

Secrets of Whey Protein Whey Protein for Weight Loss Whey Protein for Weight Gain
Cholecystokinin -It is a peptide hormone in whey protein that is mainly responsible for managing your appetite and satiety level. When you are overweight, the functioning of cholecystokinin is greatly hampered and hence you feel hungry most of the time. Whey protein will help you to reach satiety soon. When you are underweight, you lose your appetite and do not feel hungry. As per its role cholecystokinin will maintain your appetite and bring it to normal. Once your appetite will come to normal you will start gaining weight.
High Protein Content – As mentioned earlier, whey protein is the rich source of protein content out of the most natural food sources as well When you are on a weight loss diet, protein plays the most important role.1gm/kg ideal body weight is a requirement of protein for a person on weight loss diet. The simple logic behind it are:1) It lowers the carbohydrate content in your diet that can be replaced by protein.2) If sufficient amount of protein is not provided to the body, you will lose weight from your muscles. The weight loss which happens from muscles can easily come back. When you are on a weight gain diet, it is obvious that you want to gain a healthy weight but not the unhealthy fat weight. Hence for a person on a weight gain diet requires 1.2 gm. /kg of present body weight. To meet this requirement whey protein is the best supplement. Therefore, whey protein helps you to gain muscle weight and prevents fat gain.
Serotonin– It is a hormone that is basically responsible for many psychological, as well as physiological functions. It is also known as a feel good factor. Alpha-lactalbumin that is derived by whey protein helps to increase tryptophan content that in turns increases serotonin level. Serotonin if high in the body can lead to increase in appetite; if low then reduces the appetite. The basic role of serotonin is to make a proper control over food intake. When you are on a weight loss regime there are high chances of mood swings and overeating. However on the similar nodes you also end up in crash dieting by controlling your appetite. Hence whey protein will provide you from doing the same and will lead you to healthy weight loss. If you want to gain weight, the serotonin levels should be high in your body. Hence, whey protein derived alpha-lactalbumin can help you in the same.

I hope the above differentiation makes it easy for you to understand why whey protein supplement is the best protein powder for weight gain as well as weight loss.

I personally feel that whey protein is the one stop solution to meet your entire protein requirement which is very difficult to meet through regular diet.
