It also leaves you feeling dizzy and nauseous.

The largest vein supplying blood to the heart is located on the right side so sleeping on your left side is a safer option

Suppose if you sleep on your right side, the vein gets under pressure and reduces blood flow to the fetus. So, the posture is to lie on your left side and keep your knees and legs bent with a pillow between your legs. If you are anyhow suffering from back pain, then use the “Sleep on left side” position and try to place a pillow under your abdomen as well. If you have any heartburn issues at midnight, try to support your upper body with pillows. Experts suggest that placing a pillow behind your back and under your belly are preferable for optimal sleep with reduced strain. And finally, having a relaxed bath before bed would calm you down and help you feel rested. Before going to bed, drinking warm fluids like green tea, fruit tea, etc. would give you a soothing feeling. Lying on one posture all night is not comfortable, so tossing from side to side while favoring the left side is the best strategy for a cozy sleep.
